Our next meeting is online on 5 December 1-2pm. We decided to stay with the topic of compromise but bring it back to compromise in. education. Paul also suggested a very interesting book on ethical education. So Paul and I decided to focus on education compromise for Dec 5th and for the following meeting on ethical education.
I am suggesting we pick up Walter Feinberg’s ideas relevant to this through his notion of a public education. Attached is the final chapter from his 2016 book on What is public education and why we need it. It addresses some of the tensions between secular and religious perspectives on education.
